Doctor Who’s Ncuti Gatwa and Anita Dobson film festive scenes in Bristol
Ncuti Gatwa looked good as he filmed festive scenes for Doctor Who in Bristol with Anita Dobson on Wednesday.
The Sex Education star, 30, appeared to be jovial when he transformed into The Doctor while shooting Christmas scenes on a residential street.
He was joined by EastEnders legend Anita, 73, who will play Mrs Flood, the elderly neighbor of The Doctor’s companion Ruby Sunday, played by Millie Gibson.
Ncuti will join the cast of the upcoming Doctor Who series next year as the titular Time Lord, taking over the role from Jodie Whittaker and David Tennant.
And he didn’t shy away from staying in the role as he filmed exciting scenes in Bristol this week, chatting with Anita.

Ncuti looked smart in an orange striped collared top and blue trousers, which he paired with a vibrant pair of trainers.
He embellished his suave appearance with a gold pendant and sported a well-groomed mustache to complete his costume.
Ncuti was surrounded by festive decorations, including tinsel and wreaths, as he appeared to be shooting scenes for his first episode, the 2024 Christmas special.
Also spotted on set was the iconic TARDIS, The Doctor’s time machine, disguised in the form of a blue police box.
In between takes, Ncuti was seen wrapping himself in a red dry robe as he kept warm amid the chilly temperatures.
He was joined for the scenes by Anita, who cut a casual figure in a white shirt and a pink padded jacket, which she wore under a navy coat.
Anita, best known for her role as Angie Watts in EastEnders, felt comfortable in white sneakers as she sat on a chair covered with a gray blanket.
It comes after Anita dropped the name of her Doctor Who character and what her role will entail while speaking exclusively to MailOnline.

While attending the ICON Awards in support of Prostate Cancer Charity in February, she gushed about playing Mrs. Flood, the elderly neighbor of Millie’s Ruby Sunday.
She brushed off talk of starring in the show, admitting, “I wouldn’t say starring, I think the Lord himself, Ncuti and Millie are starring, I’m just joining the ranks by.
“Well Mrs. Flood is the character I play and she’s… Millie, the Ruby Sunday, the doctor’s assistant, she’s her neighbor.
‘She lives on the same street, so she always has an eye on what’s going on. She’s one of those.’
In February, she also said she hadn’t filmed any scenes with Ncuti yet, with Wednesday’s footage marking some of the first moments they’ve shot together.
The star-studded cast for the upcoming series will also be twoo-time RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon.
The actor, 35 – who uses the pronouns she/she – will portray the new villain in the BBC science fiction TV series.

Doctor Who will return in November 2023 with three special episodes to coincide with the show’s 60th anniversary, starring David Tennant as the fourteenth Doctor.
The Fifteenth Doctor, played by Ncuti, will then take control of the TARDIS, with its first episode airing during the festive period next year.
In October, Jodie Whittaker stepped down from her role as The Doctor, replaced by returning star David for the upcoming anniversary episodes.
In the latest episode of Jodie, fans got a glimpse of Ncuti’s version of The Doctor when he was briefly seen alongside David in a teaser trailer.
