Doctor Who’s Millie Gibson Braves Freezing Temperatures While Filming in Bristol

Millie Gibson bundled up while filming scenes for Doctor Who in Bristol on Friday.

The 18-year-old actress will appear alongside new Doctor Ncuti Gatwa in the new series when it hits screens Christmas 2023.

The former Coronation Street star was seen being comforted by crew members while bundled up in a big black coat between takes.

Millie, who will play a character named Ruby on the show, battled the freezing temperatures while filming on location in the city.

The TV star donned a bright orange turtleneck top along with a dark green jacket and green plaid skirt for the scene.

Letting her blonde locks fall loose to her shoulders, she also wore a pair of black stockings and matching boots.

The actress was seen in the back of a black cab for part of the scene before chatting with crew members between takes.

Doctor Who returns in November 2023 with three special episodes to coincide with the show’s 60th anniversary, with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor.

The Fifteenth Doctor, played by Ncuti, will take control of the TARDIS and his first episode will air over the festive period next year.

In October, Jodie Whittaker stepped down from her role as The Doctor, replaced by returning star David for upcoming anniversary episodes.

“Very good, doctor-who-I-want-I-am-to-be. Tag, you are,’ before Tennant made the surprising appearance of him.

The newly regenerated Doctor ran his fingers over his teeth and said ‘I know these’ clearly puzzled as he returned to his old body.

David returns for three special episodes, airing in November 2023, after retiring from the role in 2010.

The 60th feature-length celebration of the sci-fi series will also star Catherine Tate, reprising her role as companion Donna Noble.

Jodie’s final episode on Sunday night ended with a short preview of the anniversary episodes, which will hit screens in 2023.

The trailer teased Ncuti’s long-awaited arrival as the star was seen asking, “Can anyone tell me what the hell is going on?”

After the episode, showrunner Russell T Davies said, “If you thought David Tennant’s appearance came as a shock, we’ve got plenty more surprises on the way!”
