Doctor reveals the sex trends set to define 2025 – including ‘freak matching’
It’s often seen as a taboo subject, but one scientist is finally lifting the lid on our sex lives – and what 2025 has in store for them.
Dr. Olivia Lee, the Relationship Scholar in Residence at Doll Authority, has revealed the seven sex trends that will sum up the coming year.
Speaking to MailOnline, she said: ‘From fashion to travel, many of us eagerly await the trends that – whether we realize it or not – could influence our choices all year round.
‘It doesn’t end there though; There are also some exciting and unexpected sex trends in the pipeline, and it looks like 2025 is going to be very kinky.”
Several predictions from Dr. Lee are based on the spread of artificial intelligence (AI), including AI sexting and AI-enhanced sex dolls.
Meanwhile, the expert predicts that people will be more ‘kink centric’ this year.
“Freak Matching, where people choose to date people who share similar quirks, including sexual preferences, will be a popular trend,” she told MailOnline.

As AI becomes more ingrained in our daily lives, Dr. Lee predicts that many people will form relationships with AI companions.
