  • Bulldogs beat up Richmond
  • Heading into the AFL final in strong form
  • Libba wants to share the love with fans

Perhaps it’s the oxygen at the top of the AFL ladder that’s making Tom Liberatore a little giddy, but the Western Bulldogs star has offered anyone who calls his name a free parmigiana meal at one of his two pubs.

The Western Bulldogs’ best opening quarter in 12 years saw an impressive 55-point victory over Richmond that nearly crushed the Tigers’ Finals aspirations.

The Bulldogs’ midfield exploded as captain Marcus Bontempelli, Adam Treloar and Liberatore destroyed their hostile midfield brigade.

Liberatore finished with 31 touches, including 17 kicks, 14 handballs and 12 tackles in the impressive win.

He was clearly in good spirits after the game when he was interviewed by veteran Channel 7 reporter and commentator Brian Taylor, who offered free parmas to anyone who visited one of his two pubs in Melbourne.

Libba had a blinder for the Western Bulldogs as they knocked off Richmond to keep their AFL top four hopes alive

‘Do you have a pub these days? Did I hear someone say you bought into a small pub?’ BT asked.

“I actually have two,” Liberatore replied.

“The Ascot Vale Hotel, the coldest pots in Melbourne and the Mona Castle Hotel in Seddon.”

“What’s a parma worth these days, mate?” BT asked.

“Just say my name and you’ll get it for free.”

The offer cemented Libba’s status as one of the nicest dudes in the AFL and fans were quick to praise him for the gesture.

“We should all appreciate Libba – he looks and acts like a boy in the ressies, you just know he’d have a beer and a dart in hand if it was acceptable,” one fan wrote.

“Libba is one of the best characters going around in AFL today,” added another.

“Libba, a man of the people, loves him and I’m a Bombers supporter,” another AFL fan replied.

Onya Libba another great game. Mona Castle Hotel Seddon by far the best pub food in the West,’ added another.
