In preparation for a charity golf tournament, PGA Championship hero Michael Block ran from the rough; delighting his playing partner – music producer DJ Khaled.

A few yards from the green, Block pulled out a wedge and turned a shot out of the rough, landing near the cup before rolling in.

Khaled, elated by his teammate’s success, couldn’t help but jump into Block’s arms.

The low professional winner of the PGA Championship clenched his fist at the result, pleased with his effort on the first hole of the practice round.

Block and Khaled are linked to the We The Best Foundation’s first-ever Golf Classic, which the foundation says has sold out.

In the aftermath of his hole out, Block joked that he should have saved it for the tournament. But Khaled replied, “It’s going to happen again!”

Block’s son, Dylan – an accomplished golfer in his own right, who competed in qualifying for the US Open, is also competing in the event.

Further videos on Khaled’s Instagram page showed Block gifting the popular social media star and award-winning rap producer PGA Championship merchandise.

Khaled was gifted with an Oak Hill flag and a hat – both signed by Block.

GolfDigest recently featured Khaled on the cover of their June issue – with an extensive article about his enthusiasm for the sport.

Block captured the hearts and minds of golf fans around the world with a stunning display at the PGA Championship.

The course pro from Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Orange County, California shocked the world – winning Low Professional, finishing tied for 15th and getting an exemption for next year’s edition of the second major on the calendar.

And DJ Khaled isn’t the only new celebrity fan the pro has drawn to his American PGA exploits.

Talking to the New York Post, Block has returned to his regular job, but his success has caused some not-so-normal things to happen. He received a message from one of the greatest athletes of all time.

“Michael Jordan texted me, and I didn’t even see his original text at first,” Block told the Post in Arroyo Trabuco.

“My Nike guy called me at Colonial and said, ‘Dude, did you see Jordan text you yesterday? I was like, “What? You’re kidding,” because I had thousands of texts. It took me half an hour to find it.’
