A savvy mom has revealed how she made her own coffee table for just $180 after getting tired of waiting for one she bought.
Lawyer Tiana-Kate made a beautiful coffee table using supplies from Bunnings Warehouse and captured the process on camera.
The final result left viewers speechless – the table resembled professional tables costing between $400 and $1300.
“The coffee table I ordered is still two months away so intrusive thoughts came in and I decided to make my own,” she wrote, posting a TikTok video.

She used two wooden panels, steel tube benches, Gorilla glue, brushes and varnish
In the clip, Tiana-Kate used two wood panels, steel tube benches, Gorilla glue, brushes and varnish.
When she got home she started by gluing the two pieces of wood together horizontally to add more width and set it aside to dry.
She then painted the top before attaching the steel legs to the bottom.
The minimalist look went well with her living room and a decorative centerpiece was placed on it for the finishing touch.
Within 48 hours, the video was viewed more than 119,000 times and many were impressed with the end result.
‘I’m going to bunnings!!! This is amazing!! I love it,” one wrote, another added, “I’m obsessed!”
But some warned that the wood is likely to break over time, though Tiana-Kate wasn’t too concerned as she was still waiting for the coffee table she ordered.
“The glue will break eventually, you should have drilled dowels or biscuits,” someone said.
The mother responded by saying, “It’s not forever. Frankly, I’ve been lucky to have been able to achieve this.’
