Dixie D’Amelio was taken to hospital by ambulance on Thursday after feeling “faint” as she prepared to launch her shoe brand in West Hollywood.
Sources informed TMZ that the TikTok star, 21, was at work in the late afternoon when she started to feel “passing out” and as a precaution “an ambulance was called to take her to a hospital”.
Firefighters were also “sent” to the Sunset Plaza “for a possible seizure” before taking that star to the hospital.
The entertainment tabloid was told the media personality’s condition was not ‘serious’, and was told she was ‘dehydrated’ and was promptly given ‘a fluid drip’.
In fact, the Be Happy singer, who is embracing her new platinum locks, was still planning to make an appearance at the D’Amelio Footwear launch party later Thursday, sources revealed to TMZ.

The media star herself shared an update on Snapchat, uploading a selfie as she sat on a hospital bed while hooked up to some monitors. Dixie then added a second selfie to respond to a question that read, “Are you okay?” She replied humorously, “got too excited about the shoe launch.”
Later on Thursday at the launch of the family’s D’Amelio shoes, the star’s sister, Charli, also gave an additional update while she was with Entertainment tonight.
“She was just dehydrated and she got some fluids. But she’ll be at the D’Amelio Footwear launch tonight, so you’ll see her. She’s coming, she’s just getting ready.’
The singer teamed up with her younger sister, Charli, and mother, Heidi, to create the shoe collection, along with designer Lauren DiCicco, who has worked with other celebrities such as Jessica Simpson.
The new brand offers a variety of styles and categories such as sneakers, heels, boots and also sandals.
Before the brief hospital scare, Dixie had jumped to her social media channels, including Instagram and Snapchat, to count down the hours until the shoes officially launched for fans and consumers.
She had taken a close-up selfie wearing a white top, partially showing off her freshly dyed blonde locks. She had shown a link to the brand’s website and written a caption, “an hour.”
The star then filmed herself telling the camera, “The shoes have officially dropped,” while linking to the official website. In her right hand, Dixie held a pair of the brand’s $99 black Karyenaa pumps.
In another photo, she wore loose-fitting black jeans with a yellow stripe down each side, along with a matching denim jacket. She only added a black bralette underneath and slipped into a pair of $189 black Camdon boots as she posed outside.

“Sturdy shoes,” she wrote in a caption to the photo, also letting her fans and followers take a closer look at the details of the black platform soles.
During an interview with L’Officiel to promote the shoe brand under the company, D’Amelio Brands, Charli, Dixie and Heidi said, “We’ve been very involved from the start of this project.”
‘From the name to the designs and even to the packaging. We wanted to make sure that the shoes were something we would wear, but that they were also really comfortable.”
They later added, “It was also so important to us that we try to maintain the quality, while producing the shoes at a lower price so that it is more viable for our audience.”
When it came to differences related to creativity, the trio explained, “We don’t always agree, but that’s the fun of working together. It’s fun to have a fun and constructive discussion about our different styles and preferences, even about the best colors.’
‘As a family we are very good at listening to each other’s points of view and we also value each other’s input. There is a variety and mix of styles, so you can see any of our styles in the shoes.”
Dixie herself is no stranger to the footwear world and has been a Puma brand ambassador since 2021. Earlier in March, the Someone To Blame singer launched her own limited edition PUMA x DIXIE collection.
“I had so much fun selecting styles that matched what I personally gravitate towards in my own everyday fashion,” she shared People at the time.
