Dita paired her gorgeous dress with black gloves and gold earrings and her lustrous raven-black locks into a sleek quiff.

Also present at the event was Viscountess Emma Weymouth, who donned a striking teal tartan dress with a ruffled neckline.

The Strictly Come Dancing star showed off her slim pins in the open skirt of the dress with a ruffled lace front, accessorizing her outfit with black pointed heels.

Emma was accompanied by her husband Ceawlin Thynn, the Viscount Weymouth, and the couple turned up a storm together.

Boy George was also looking good when he arrived for the event, sporting one of his signature olive green hats.

Crown to Couture is a deep dive into glamor with stunning installations in Kensington Palace’s State Apartments, once the venue for almost daily lavish parties for the crème de la crème of high society.

From April 5, visitors are invited to see the similarities between the height of fashion during the historic period and today’s Hollywood haute couture.

It contains more than 200 items – including ball gowns, court suits, handbags and jewelry – and promises to draw “fascinating parallels” between eighteenth-century royalty and today’s stars.

The exhibition – titled Crown to Couture – will pay homage to iconic glitzy event looks from modern vintage, presented against the backdrop of Georgian society.

This includes Billy Porter’s “Sun God” outfit styled by Sam Ratelle and designed by The Blonds for the 2019 Met Gala, and Kendall Jenner’s shimmering Audrey Hepburn-inspired Givenchy gown worn to the 2021 event.

It will also follow the painstaking process of getting dressed for the hot-ticket event of the season – both today and years past – looking at everything from underwear to makeup.

The role and importance of stylists is also explored, particularly looking at ‘the original stylist’ Frances Abington who was famous for his work in mid-18th century London.

Abington’s modern counterpart — Sam Ratelle, known as the “unsung hero” of today’s red carpet — will also be celebrated.

Other stylish looks that will pay homage include Billie Eilish’s flowy vintage-style pink Oscar de la Renta dress from the 2021 Met Gala – the first face that greets visitors upon entering.

Lizzo’s Thom Browne dress, Iris Law’s Moschino cut-out dress, and Jessie Buckley’s Schiaparelli suit — all from next year’s Met Gala — will also be included in the celebration of fashion.

“We are so excited to transform Kensington Palace’s State Apartments for our largest exhibition ever, Crown to Couture,” said Polly Putnam, curator at Historic Royal Palaces.

‘Seeing these historic spaces filled with beautiful examples of both period and contemporary clothing really brings them to life, and we can’t wait for our visitors to experience these rooms in a whole new way.

‘From your choice of designer and materials to the subtle messages your dress communicates, this exhibition shows the parallels between the world of the Georgian court and the modern red carpet as they have never been seen before.’

Claudia Acott Williams, curator at Historic Royal Palaces commented that the exhibition will make us feel closer to what may feel like a distant past.

She said: ‘The customs of the Georgian court may seem aloof and anachronistic, but we hope that Crown to Couture provides a new and familiar lens through which to understand the spaces of the palace and the traditions of the court.
