Disturbing moment shirtless cop slapped and then shot a police deputy who confronted him after he grabbed a woman’s hair at a bar in Brazil

A cop is back on the streets after attacking a woman and then shooting a police chief who confronted him at a bar in Brazil.

Federal District Police Officer Rodrigo Rodrigues was seen on video arguing with the woman at a table and grabbing her hair after she punched him several times.

The woman then left her seat and stood next to a person sitting at the table when Civil Police Chief Karen Langkammer walked over and reprimanded Rodrigues.

Langkammer and Rodrigues were seen arguing as a bar worker stood between them, before Langkammer's companion walked over and shoved him.

Rodrigues' T-shirt was ripped off. Moments later, he appeared in the video pointing his gun at Langkammer, then walked up to her and punched her in the face.

The police chief attacked Rodrigues to disarm him before shooting her in the foot.

A wounded Langkammer managed to film Rodrigues, who was standing behind a barricade, and asked him to drop his weapon.

“Please, put the gun away. You shot me in the foot,” Langkammer said. “Please, you hit the woman and pulled her hair, please.”

Rodrigues fled the bar and was later arrested by the Military Police and his weapon and ammunition were seized.

Despite the video evidence, a judge released Rodrigues several hours later because he “did not demonstrate excessive danger” that would warrant him remaining in a jail cell.

The judge banned him from having contact with the victims and from visiting the bar. He told TV Globo that he never attacked the woman with him and that he shot Langkammer in self-defense.

Langkammer posted a video to social media Wednesday evening after being released from a hospital, where she received stitches.

'I'm fine. I just got out of the hospital,” she said. 'I had some stitches on my toe. I have yet to undergo surgery, but this message is to thank you for your kindness.”

Rodrigues has been investigated in the past for allegedly assaulting and harassing women, Brazilian news outlet Metropoles reported.

In March, a 34-year-old massage therapist filed a harassment complaint against Rodrigues after she visited the police station where he worked to report a sexual harassment incident.

The woman claimed Rodrigues ignored her and texted her several days later to see if she was dating or married.

“This police officer didn't even respond to me, but he felt he had the right to take my information out of the system and contact me to harass me,” she said.

Rodrigues told the woman she was “very beautiful” and asked if she was “single.”

In 2018, the mother of his two daughters, who is also a Federal District Fire Department sergeant, filed a police report after he allegedly assaulted her and tried to hang her before one of their daughters intervened. She described him at the time as jealous, possessive and abusing alcohol.
