The cast of the new film gathered in New York City last week to celebrate the release with a dazzling red carpet event.
But when it was revealed that Blake’s companies Betty Booze and Betty Buzz had supplied the drinks for the afterparty, social media users erupted in anger.
The cocktail brand, which was founded by the 36-year-old actress last year, shared a promotional video on Instagram after the event, revealing that it had created an It Ends With Us menu for the party, featuring special drinks named after each character.
The clip showed off the drinks and gave a glimpse into the star-studded event, but viewers immediately responded en masse to the comments to express their outrage.

“We’re promoting alcohol for a movie about domestic violence!?” asked one outraged user.
Another responded with scathing comment: ‘Did you guys really come up with a cute cocktail name for Ryle, the literal abuser in this story? Ouch.’
“What a disgusting way to use a movie about domestic abuse to promote Blake Lively’s business ventures. WOW,” someone else added.
“People with alcohol problems are six times more likely to abuse their partners,” read a fourth comment.
“Promoting a film with such a powerful DV theme with an alcohol brand is disappointing and disrespectful to DV survivors.”
“Isn’t it a bit of a shame to promote alcohol when alcohol is so closely linked to domestic violence?” said a fifth.

It Ends With Us, based on the novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover, follows a florist named Lily Bloom, played by Blake, who becomes embroiled in an abusive relationship with a doctor named Ryle Kincaid, played by Justin.
The film has been in the news for days, as rumors of an ongoing feud between Blake and 40-year-old Justin dominated headlines.
Fans first began speculating about a rift between the co-stars after noticing that they had not held any sort of press conference prior to the film’s release and that they had not interacted with each other at the film’s premiere.
The alleged rift has caused huge outrage among both stars.
The actress, in turn, received a lot of criticism for the way she answered certain interview questions during the press conference, especially the question about the film’s very serious themes.
When a reporter asked the Gossip Girl alum how people who could identify with her character would talk to her about it if they saw her in real life, her sarcastic response left people outraged.
Rather than encouraging victims of domestic violence to seek help from professionals or share available resources with them, Blake laughed at the idea of making herself available to them.
“People who see this film and identify with the subjects in the film on a very personal level want to talk to you,” the interviewer said.

She shared a number of links, including a hotline for victims of domestic violence, as well as statistics and other information.
“Everyone deserves relationships free of domestic violence,” she wrote.

The insider claimed that Justin only focused on “what he saw as the violent male point of view” and that he had a very “chauvinistic” approach to the subject.

“During scenes that depicted abuse, Justin did not consider Blake’s character’s perspective. Instead, he focused solely on what he saw as the perspective of the abusive man,” the actors said.

TMZ reported that Blake felt “fat-shamed” by Justin on set while they were preparing for a scene in which he lifted her off the ground.
Insiders told the website that Justin has been suffering from back problems and that he sought help from a trainer prior to the scene where he lifts the weights.
He reportedly asked the trainer how much Blake weighed and for help preparing his back to avoid injury.
When Blake heard about his comments, she was reportedly embarrassed by his weight.
