An avid Disney fan has revealed five things she would avoid at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom.
Bethany Vinton — who lives in the Pacific Northwest and describes herself as “a little obsessed with all things Disney” — has become familiar with the ins and outs of the Magic Kingdom’s parks through multiple visits over the years.
This month, she tackled “five things” she would “NEVER” do when it came to visiting Animal Kingdom at Disney World in Florida.
The park is known for its attractions based on the studio’s films with natural backdrops – think The Lion King, Finding Nemo, Moana, Avatar and more.

This month, Bethany tackled “five things” she would “NEVER” do when it came to visiting Animal Kingdom at Disney World in Florida, including missing the morning or buying Genie+
For starters, Bethany emphasized that she would “never miss the morning” by getting there first, explaining, “Make a plan to get there at the time the rope drops or a little later.”
She said the “two reasons” for this are that the park is “not busy” early in the day and visitors can go on “almost all the rides” – and secondly, that Animal Kingdom “tends to get real.” hot later in the day.
“So if you can get out of your way a lot first thing in the morning, you will protect yourself from that heat,” she said.
Second on her list, Bethany said she would “never” purchase Genie+, a special pass that allows users to access various attractions in the faster “Lighting Lanes.”
‘It’s been ridiculously expensive lately and there are only a handful of rides where you can use it. It’s not worth it,” she explained.
Her third warning was to advise visitors ‘never go on safari in the middle of the day’.
Disney’s Kilimanjaro Safaris ride takes place in an open-air vehicle that travels through a simulated animal sanctuary, with real African animals everywhere.
Here too, the heat is the problem, because “the animals know it’s hot, so they are less active,” Bethany explains.

Other issues Bethany discussed included the dining experiences in the park and Disney World after dark
Instead, she favored a safari ride in the rain: “Yes, you will get wet. But the animals are generally quite active.’
The fourth issue the content creator addressed was around the dining experience.
‘Never underestimate the food and animal kingdom. This is the elite park for food,” she continued.
“There are so many stalls and booths throughout Animal Kingdom. You should try them.’
Last but not least, Bethany stated, “I would never want to miss Animal Kingdom at night.”
“Animal Kingdom at night is truly magical,” she concluded.
