Disney was forced to recall millions of copies of a classic animated film after it was accidentally released in an X-rated gaffe.

During a scene from The Rescuers, there’s one mistake in the animation that makes parents gasp, “This will traumatize my kids!”

The 1977 film follows the Rescue Aid Society, an international mouse organization dedicated to helping kidnap victims around the world.

Mice Bernard and Miss Bianca make it their mission to rescue orphan Penny, who has been captured as a prisoner, prompting a wild journey around the world.

During an epic adventure scene in which Bernard and Miss Bianca creatively piloted a sardine can as a train, they sped past an apartment building.

But eagle-eyed viewers spotted a naughty scene in the children’s clip as the two mice scurried past a topless woman in the window of one of the apartments.

How the X-rated image ended up in the animation has remained a mystery, but the original release was recalled in 1999 to make changes because it contained the “offensive background image.”

All families who purchased the video after its release were told to return it to Disney’s video distribution department at Buena Vista Home Entertainment in Carson, California, USA.

The discovery of the X-rated image shocked viewers when a Disney fan wrote on Reddit: ‘This was a favorite movie of mine growing up. Never knew until a few years ago.’

‘Whaaaaaaa?! I never noticed this!!!!’

“Oh God… thank you for reminding me of this scary movie. I’m going to watch it with my kids and traumatize them too. According to tradition. Lol jk’.

‘A lot of people have seen this and even own this, but still have no idea about it. I’d say most people who own this VHS have never heard of this. It happened just before the internet was strong enough for everyone to hear about it.”

The film’s synopsis reads on Disney Plus: ‘Join shy but brave mouse Bernard and his glamorous partner Miss Bianca – two little heroes on a very big mission to save a young girl named Penny, who has an urgent sent a call for help.

‘On the wings of their trusted albatross friend Orville, Bernard and Bianca fly to the swampy marsh of Devil’s Bayou.
