Disney has dropped plans to build a £725 million office complex as the Florida fairytale turns into a nightmare.
The media giant behind Mickey Mouse and Mulan decided to reverse plans for a site in the US state during an ongoing row with Governor Ron DeSantis.

But in an internal email, Josh D’Amaro, head of Disney’s parks, cited “leadership changes” as the main reason behind the backtrack.
Disney has been at odds with DeSantis ever since former CEO Bob Chapek criticized legislation that would limit discussion of sexuality in schools – the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” law.
The governor denounced “awake Disney” and has sought to cancel the special treatment being given to the company, which includes self-governing powers at its 25,000-acre resort.
Disney shares plummeted last week after the streaming service lost 4 million subscribers in the first three months of 2023.
