This is the horrifying moment when an airline passenger sitting behind a woman puts his ‘smelly and dirty’ feet on her armrest during a flight.
Pornpreeya Keng, 27, boarded a low-cost Vietnam Airlines flight from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport for a trip to Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City.
But as she sat down in her chair to enjoy the view from the window, an unpleasant smell suddenly irritated her nose. Looking down, she saw the source of the disgusting smell: a man’s bare foot poked through the opening and rested on her armrest.
Footage from aboard the Airbus A320 shows a visibly disturbed Keng capturing the tacky scene while sitting next to the man’s hot, sweaty feet.
She can be seen muttering to herself and covering her nose and mouth as she looks down at the unwashed feet before using a nasal spray to block the smell.

Keng said the inconsiderate passenger kept moving to find a better sleeping position, intensifying the smell and making her dizzy.
She said, “I tried to move my chair to make him aware of my discomfort, but he didn’t notice me. I felt uncomfortable, but I didn’t want to confront him directly, so I videotaped his bad manners.
His feet stink and are dirty. I thought it was unhygienic to have them on the armrest, so I disinfected it afterwards with an alcohol wipe.’
Keng later caught the attention of a flight attendant, who ordered the man to stand up on her behalf.
She then disinfected her armrest with some wet wipes and used a menthol nasal inhaler to clear the stomach-inducing foot odor from her sinuses.
Speaking about the nightmare flight, which took place on Saturday, she said: “Everyone should educate themselves in proper flight etiquette. If anyone experiences what I did, please inform the flight attendant and ask for help.”
Airline passengers would never have had such a problem in the early days of aviation, as many airlines had strict dress codes, which meant keeping shoes firmly on.
In the 1950s, Pan American World Airways, known as Pan Am, ordered male passengers to wear suits and ties, while women were expected to wear skirts and blouses. Shorts, jeans and T-shirts were not considered suitable clothing for an airplane and hair had to be neat and well-groomed.
Dress codes have gradually relaxed over the years, and in the 21st century it’s not unusual to find backpackers in shorts, vests and barefoot on planes – even with their feet on the seats.
