Disgusting moment New York commuter eats a whole LOBSTER alone on the subway as he breaks open the crustacean with his bare hands
- A mystery man was caught on camera digging into a full lobster on the subway
- The unknown gourmet used his hands to tear the shell apart and suck out all the meat
- This isn't the first time a lobster dinner has been enjoyed on the subway
Eating on the subway is frowned upon at the best of times — let alone when your favorite food is a whole lobster and your utensils are your hands.
But one man didn't let public opinion stop him and spread his lobster meal on a New York City subway seat, using his hands to break apart the hard shell and suck out the meat.
He didn't even look up when a fellow MTA passenger started filming him on the train this month, surrounded by napkins, wrappings and bits of bright orange shell.
He didn't seem to care as he took apart his takeaway, pulling his legs off to suck on the meat before tossing them aside.
It's not clear what train he was on, who he is, or why he ate a lobster, but it's clear he enjoyed a very tasty meal.

As unusual as this behavior may seem, it's not the first time lobster has been enjoyed on the subway.
In 2018, Los Angeles-based photographer Amber Asaly celebrated her 26th birthday on a J train, with decorations, a piñata and even a lobster dinner on board.
Asaly documented the entire affair on social media, posting photos and videos on Instagram and in her Instagram Stories.
She explained that she, her cousin, and some of her friends had reservations for the evening, but they “couldn't make it,” so they decided to host an impromptu party on a J train to Broad Street instead.
According to the New York Postthe group got into the car at the Myrtle-Broadway stop in Brooklyn on Wednesday evening around 10:30 p.m.
Once on board, they got to work hanging decorations on the walls and ceiling. They built a table, over which they draped a tablecloth and placed plates and cutlery.

Amber said an MTA worker even saw their party but let them go ahead. The party lasted the length of a drive from Brooklyn to Manhattan and back once the trained people turned around, a total of twenty stops.
They took the decorations and table with them on the way out, although video shows they left a lot of streamers and confetti in the car.
Amber said the event was “crazy” and her “best birthday ever.”
Some passengers have even been treated to a Thanksgiving dinner aboard the subway.
Last year, passengers stuck on the L train in Brooklyn were treated to a Thanksgiving surprise when a full turkey dinner was served in a train car.
