‘Disgusting’ find inside wrap leaves customers in utter disbelief at popular Aussie cafe

Customers at one of Australia’s best-known pie shops claim to have found dead rats in their food.

The two men posted photos on social media of the rodents they allegedly found in their food after ordering from Beefys in Aussie World, southwest of the Sunshine Coast.

One of the men told his followers to ‘be careful what you eat’, alongside a photo of a dead rat covered in vegetables from his salad wrap.

The other posted images of a rodent in a salad bag and claimed he had been eating for four to five days before discovering it.

The first poster stated that he had also ordered a pie with his salad wrap, but “didn’t feel like eating it anymore when I found that little (sic) guy.”

The post quickly attracted hundreds of comments from people claiming the post had ‘ruined’ their favorite cake shop.

It was also quickly shared on social media, as users shared their shock at the post.

“It’s the kind of meal my cat leaves on the doorstep to share with people,” one user wrote.

“That was my favorite cake shop growing up, thanks for ruining it,” wrote a second.

Other users were quick to question the legitimacy of the post, saying: ‘That must have been put there on purpose, right?’

“A shawl like that is definitely man-made, so if it’s in there, it was put there by a person,” one user wrote.

Some users quickly linked the image to the other man’s post, who said he didn’t blame Beefy’s for the rat in his salad bag because it was packaged by a different company.

“I’m not blaming the store, of course, because it has nothing to do with them, but it probably wouldn’t hurt to check the bag again beforehand,” he wrote.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Beefy’s for comment.
