Disgusted passengers are BOOTED from Air Canada flight after refusing to sit in vomit-covered seats – which were ‘cleaned’ by sprinkling coffee grounds and spraying perfume
Two women were taken off an Air Canada flight during the first leg of their journey to Vienna after refusing to sit in vomit-covered seats during a five-hour flight.
Air Canada staff had sprayed perfume and left coffee grounds in seat pockets in an effort to remove the stench on the August 26 flight from Las Vegas to Montreal caused by passengers on an earlier trip.
The two passengers – whose seats and seatbelts were still wet from vomit – complained about the appalling conditions before the flight took off. But the flight attendants said they couldn’t do anything because the plane was full.
The pilot then marched over to the two ladies and told them they would be escorted off the flight and placed on a no-fly list for being “rude” to the flight attendants.
Witnesses sitting behind the women said they were not rude at any point, despite having every reason to after being forced to sit in the filthy seats.

Susan Benson (pictured) witnessed the Air Canada flight. She said she was in line behind the two women who were subjected to the ordeal on August 26
Air Canada admitted that the passengers were not receiving the “standard of care” expected from the airline. But the ordeal has led many to vow online to boycott the company over its mistreatment.
Susan Benson, who was on flight AC1706 from Las Vegas to Montreal, wrote on social media, “So we recently flew Air Canada from Las Vegas to Montreal.
‘In front of us were two ladies and a gentleman who had trouble sitting down. There was a bit of a foul smell, but we didn’t know what the problem was at first.
“Apparently on the previous flight, someone in that area had vomited. Air Canada tried to do a quick clean before boarding, but was clearly unable to do a thorough clean.”
Benson said the airline had tried to mask the smell of vomit by putting coffee grounds in the seat bag and spraying perfume into the room, but that clearly didn’t work.
She added: “When the obviously upset passengers tried to explain to the flight attendant that the seat and seat belt were wet and there was still visible vomit residue in their area, the flight attendant was very apologetic but explained that the flight was full and that there was nothing they could do.
“The passengers said they couldn’t possibly be expected to sit in vomit for five hours.
They argued for minutes and then the flight attendant said she would get her supervisor.
The supervisor repeated the same thing. We’re sorry, but we have to, it’s a full flight and there are no other seats available. The passengers asked if they could at least get blankets to sit on and wipes to clean up more themselves.
‘Reluctantly they were given blankets, wipes and more emetic bags. The best Air Canada could do.’
After getting the blankets and wipes for the passengers, Benson said the pilot came out of the cockpit himself and addressed the complaining fliers.
She said they had two options.
In the end, they were escorted off the flight “because they refused to sit in vomit for five hours.”
Benson added: “The pilot came down the aisle, knelt down very calmly and told the two ladies they had two choices: they could leave the plane on their own and organize flights at their own expense, or they would be taken off the plane. escorted. plane through security and placed on a no-fly list!
When they asked why he said they were rude to the flight attendant. They certainly weren’t! They were upset and determined, but not rude!
The passenger next to them explains to the pilot that they literally have vomit in their seats and as a police officer they would never treat people like that.
He explained that they weren’t rude, just angry. The pilot got up and walked to the front of the plane. Before we know it, security comes down the aisle and escorts the two ladies off the plane! for what? Refuse to sit in vomit for five hours!
Air Canada literally expects the passage to sit in vomit or be escorted off the plane and placed on a no-fly list!
“I have no idea if they were actually put on the no-fly list or not. I can’t stop thinking about these two ladies. They haven’t done anything wrong.
‘They flew to Vienna via Montreal. I am ashamed to be Canadian and ashamed of Air Canada. I would like as many people as possible to share this.
“I have already complained directly to Air Canada and posted it on other social media platforms. I hope they find a good lawyer and sue Air Canada.
‘Shame on you Air Canada! you should be ashamed!’
Air Canada said in a statement: “We are investigating this serious matter internally and have contacted customers directly as our operational procedures were not properly followed in this case.
“This includes apologizing to these customers for clearly not receiving the standard of care they were entitled to, and addressing their concerns.
‘We will keep in touch with them about this.’
One person, after hearing about the ordeal on social media, wrote: “There was a simple solution. Postpone flight boarding until the seats, seat belts, trays, etc. can be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and the area can be fumigated.
“This was a health risk to the passengers and should have been treated as a biohazard situation, so delaying the flight was a perfectly appropriate decision.”
Another added: ‘This was not properly handled by Air Canada. The company must always be prepared to handle the clean-up of vomit in a medical-hygienic manner.
“It is possible that all passengers were in an unhygienic environment for their health.”
And a third said, ‘I wonder what the pilot or the security guys would have done if they had to sit in those seats!!! awful!!!’
A fourth furious person added, “Vomit, like blood and feces, is a biohazardous waste. They were ready to subject these 2 women to potentially contaminated matter.
“The Canadian Department of Health should shut down the airline.”
Another wrote: “Total d**k, who should lose his driver’s license and never be given the responsibility of getting passengers safely to their destination.”
