Disgraced Colorado GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert attracts tiny crowd to re-election event after switching districts following Beetlejuice musical sexual touching scandal

Scandal-plagued Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert of Colorado drew a small crowd to a campaign event as she fights to keep a seat in Washington after switching districts.

Boebert, who is trying to win a seat in the state’s Fourth Congressional District after two terms in the Third Congress, posted photos of her event on social media on Friday.

She wrote, “Great to be with you today, Adams County GOP!”

The photos showed several empty or partially populated rows as the 36-year-old grandmother spoke to her prospective voters.

Boebert has battled the perception among liberals and even some moderate Republicans of her reckless nature, with a series of scandals spanning her time in office, most infamously when she was asked to leave a Beetlejuice performance for sexually groping her date.

Arguably the most infamous incident involving Boebert was when she was removed from a Denver theater after falling in love with her date.

Boebert – who divorced her husband in 2023 amid domestic violence allegations – was filmed lashing out at theater staff after being kicked out of a Beetlejuice performance for singing along – with staff claiming she also vaped and took photos while performance.

Surveillance footage shows Boebert, wearing a tight, low-cut gold dress and high heels, making a fuss as she and a handsome, mysterious man are sent away.

She can be seen taking a selfie as she leaves the venue and angrily baring her teeth at the staff as she is escorted through the lobby.

According to The Denver Post, the lawmaker declared at one point, “Do you know who I am?” Afterwards, Boebert and her smartly dressed date were caught on camera walking through the empty nighttime streets of the Mile High City.

Just weeks later, Boebert was accused of using campaign funds to watch a bicycle race in which her partner that night, Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher, was participating.

But Boebert has been plagued by distracting incidents both before and during her time in Congress.

In late February, things took another unfortunate turn for Boebert after her son, Tyler, 18, was picked up by police in Rifle, Colorado, on 22 different charges, including three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Around the time the arrest took place, Boebert’s social media accounts denounced President Joe Biden’s “crime family” as “the most corrupt family in American history.”

This is just the latest drama about the politician whose biggest hits include accusations that she punched her ex-husband, accusations that she pointed a gun at an Obama-supporting staffer and trying to prove that a WWE star was her biological father.

Boebert has also infuriated liberals for naming Ilhan Omar as part of the “Jihad Squad” and was roundly mocked in 2021 after creating a Christmas card with her family that featured all guns blazing.

She even angered fellow MAGA ally Marjorie Taylor Greene, when the pair reportedly nearly got into a shouting match in a women’s room near the House floor last year over Boebert’s opposition to Kevin McCarthy.

Conservatives even cringed when Boebert proudly defended Tyler when he got his 17-year-old girlfriend pregnant, despite the fact that the couple wasn’t married.

At the 2023 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), she announced for the first time that she would become a grandmother at the age of 36.

Dave Rubin of the “Rubin Report” asked the conservative firebrand if her eldest of four sons, Tyler impregnating his girlfriend, “challenged” her beliefs.

“Obviously, I’m a Christian, and there are standards that we like to uphold, but none of us do it perfectly,” she said. “We can nitpick about what the Bible says is right and wrong, but I think having that heart attitude of wanting to serve God is so important.”

She added that she and her son would discuss “redemption and how to move forward.”

However, her popularity with the MAGA base could still save her as she faces a crowded primary and the local Republican Party gave her a boost on Friday.

A Colorado Republican panel made a surprise decision Thursday evening, choosing a former mayor, Greg Lopez, as the likely replacement for U.S. Rep. Ken Buck until the November general election.

While Lopez is likely to win in the dark red district, he will be a placeholder and plans to resign after the winner of January’s general election is sworn in.

For two of Boebert’s leading opponents, who finished second and third, the special election candidacy would have been a boon and given them an edge ahead of the general election in November.
