Disgraced actor Armie Hammer returns with new podcast and admits he ‘likes the cannibal stuff now’

Armie Hammer has returned to the spotlight following his 2021 cancellation amid sexual assault allegations and claims of “cannibalism.”

The actor, 38, has launched his own podcast called The Armie HammerTime Podcast.

In the first episode, with fellow actor Tom Arnold, the Call Me By Your Name star discusses his various controversies, from cannibalism to his financial problems.

The episode was filmed in Hammer’s modest and sparsely furnished Los Angeles apartment, with Arnold sitting in a run-down leather lounge that Hammer found on Facebook Marketplace.

“Jerry and I went to Glendale to pick this up yesterday,” Hammer told Arnold as he pointed to the worn piece of furniture.

“$150!” he beamed, before admitting that he had ‘bargained’ to get the price down.

Arnold then compared Hammer’s rent-controlled home to a “closet” due to its small size.

In August, Hammer claimed he was so broke he had to sell his truck because he could no longer afford gas.

The pair eventually touched on the topic of Hammer’s cannibal rumors, with the Nocturnal Animals star admitting he has now grown fond of the ‘wild’ claims.

“I like the cannibal thing more now,” he laughed. ‘I’m like, “Hey, I’m a cannibal!”‘

So far, the podcast has received an overwhelmingly positive response from fans, with many voicing their support for the disgraced actor in the comments section.

“I love the cannibals too, Armie,” one joked, while another wrote, “Glad you can laugh about it now!”

A third added: “I’m always here to support you. People need to stop kneeling in shame and jumping to extreme conclusions. There’s never been anything wrong with what you like.”

Hammer previously addressed sensational rumors that he was a cannibal in an interview with Piers Morgan in July.

He told Morgan the allegations stemmed from consensual sex acts and kinky role-play.

When asked if he is indeed a cannibal, Hammer replied, “You know what you have to do to be a cannibal?” You must have really eaten someone.’

The actor confirmed that he did not eat anyone. He admitted that he once traced his initials into ex-girlfriend Paige Lorenze’s thigh, but denied it was an attempt to brand her: “There wasn’t even blood,” he claimed.

Hammer confirmed to Morgan that he cheated on his ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers, during their marriage, but would not confirm how many times.

He also spoke about his relationship with Effie Angelova, who accused him of sexual assault. He called their relationship a “very intense affair, very sexually charged, between two people with very similar tendencies and kinks.”

During that segment, Hammer admitted that without context, their conversations would seem disturbing.

“All those conversations we had within that relationship, if you take them out of that context and put them in broad daylight, it doesn’t look so good.”

Hammer said Angelova had more experience in the world of kink than he did.

‘Different people have different sexual fantasies. And there is a very broad spectrum of sexuality, and people are allowed to engage with their own sexuality, whatever it is and whatever they do.”

Hammer has consistently maintained his innocence when confronted with allegations of rape and other abuse of women. His lawyers continue to argue that all of his relationships were consensual.

Last year, Hammer and Chambers reached a separation agreement, three years after filing.

The settlement came just weeks after LA County prosecutors declined to charge Hammer in an investigation following a woman’s accusation that he sexually assaulted her in 2017.

They cited a lack of evidence to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Hammer said on Instagram that after a long public silence, “I look forward to beginning what will be a long, difficult process of getting my life back on track now that my name has been cleared.”
