Dungeons & Dragons is preparing to launch itself into a new decade with a revised fifth edition ruleset, and they’re making room in retailers’ warehouses with a Black Friday sale. And while it may have started early, there are still plenty of deals you can get delivered during the holidays.
The biggest deals this year come in bulk, with buy 2, get 1 free sales at both Target and Amazon, including some excellent, already discounted campaign books and anthologies. The way these sales work is that you add three items to your cart and then you get one of the items of equal or lesser value for free. You’ll also notice that the latest D&D starter set is also discounted.
Another big draw is Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen Deluxe Editionwhich bundles the excellent new Dragonlance campaign book with the exciting Dragonlance: Warriors of Krynn board game co-designed by Rob Daviau (Pandemic legacy, Ticket to Ride Legacy: Legends of the West). The price is $69.99, which is more than 45% off the original $155 price tag that Wizards placed on pre-orders. Alternatively, you can buy the Warriors of Krynn board game itself, which has also been discounted to $50.99.
Finally, WizKid’s latest over-the-top terrain set is called The Watchtower, and it just shipped this week. It’s a modular headquarters ready to become the bastion of your gaming group, or the setting for the most climactic encounters of your campaign. Originally priced at $289.99, it is now down to $217.49.
