During their relationship, which reportedly lasted until October 2023, she said she gave him permission to record their sex on some occasions, but she “never gave him permission to distribute those images and videos to third parties and reiterated that he was not allowed to do that. without her express permission.”

Jane Doe says she was contacted in November by a third party who was in possession of “intimate material” showing the two having sex. The images show, among other things, the complainant’s ‘genitals, buttocks and face’.

The accuser reportedly filed a police report that month, and the NYPD issued a warrant for Diplo’s arrest days later. He is currently under investigation.

“Diplo’s actions represent a serious abuse of power and a blatant disregard for human dignity,” Micha Liberty, an attorney for Doe of Liberty Law, said in a statement.

“It is vital that we as a society condemn such actions and hold perpetrators accountable.”

Doe’s attorney Margaret E. Mabie of Marsh Law added, “Our brave client’s story is one of Diplo’s worst-kept secrets, and filing this case is her first step toward civil justice.”

Diplo was previously accused of revenge porn in 2020 by Shelly Auguste, who also claimed that he knowingly infected her with chlamydia.

The Florida artist maintained his innocence at the time in a statement released by his attorney Bryan Freedman, who claimed that Auguste distributed the revenge porn himself.

Auguste cited her allegations again in November in another lawsuit, which Freedman described as “an ongoing smear campaign.”

“Ms. Auguste is at it again,” Freedman said in a statement to Pitchfork.

“But Wes will defend himself, and just as he has done every time Ms. Auguste has defamed, harassed and attacked him and his family, he will win,” he added.
