Diogo Jota has named his all-time best XI from the players he has played with.

Jota has shared the pitch with a host of stars, for both Liverpool and Portugal.

Ahead of Euro 2024, Jota faced the difficult task of choosing his best-ever teammates.

The 27-year-old ultimately selected five current Liverpool players in addition to himself.

There was one major omission, however, as a key former Liverpool star was left out.

Jota chose Alisson as target, while four other Liverpool players made the cut in Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgin van Dijk, Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah.

There are also five Portuguese players in the team: Ruben Dias, Joao Cancelo, Ruben Neves, Bernardo Silva and, unsurprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Perhaps Jota’s most controversial selection is that he has included himself in the squad ahead of former Liverpool winger Sadio Mane.

Mané now plays for Al-Nassr after a spell at Bayern Munich, but between 2020 and 2022 he was Jota’s teammate at Anfield.

Another significant omission is that of Portugal and Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes.

Since signing for Liverpool in 2020, Jota has made 145 appearances for the club and scored 56 goals.
