Smack-talking prizefighter Dillon Danis has revealed where he gets his money despite a long period of inactivity in the fight game.

The Bellator MMA star hasn’t competed in a professional fight since June 2019, but certainly seems to be living life to the fullest judging by his social media channels.

Danis, who has made a name for himself by trolling fellow martial artists and celebrities online, claims he charges £12,350 ($15,000) per sponsored Instagram story and lives almost entirely off his social media stardom.

“I’m rich now, buddy,” Danis told Ariel Helwani during a recent appearance on the MMA Hour.

‘I don’t understand why no one understands how I make money when my Instagram account is so popular. I get paid $15,000 for a story, which is more for a story and a tweet.”

Danis will fight Logan Paul in a six-round bridgerweight bout on October 14

Danis got his start in combat sports as a Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner, winning the prestigious Pan IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship in 2016 – catching the attention of MMA chefs around the world.

In 2018, he signed for industry titans Bellator MMA and made his debut in April of that year, winning via toe hold submission over Kyle Walker.

He followed this up with another victory over Max Humphrey 14 months later, before being subsequently sidelined by a nagging knee injury.

Danis saw some big rewards pass him by in the coming years, including an influencer boxing fight with KSI in January, which was canceled after the American withdrew because he was “poorly prepared” for the bout.

It seemed like Danis would never make his long-awaited comeback, but he is now booked to face Logan Paul on October 14 at the KSI vs. Tommy Fury undercard in Manchester.

In the lead-up to the fight, Danis shared a series of unsavory messages about Paul’s fiancée Nina Agdal, which led to the model filing for a restraining order.

According to court documents, Agdal is also suing Danis for “revenge porn” after the 30-year-old allegedly posted a “sexually explicit photo” of her that was taken without her consent, according to the complaint.
