Dillon Brooks is REJECTED for hitting LeBron James below the belt in Game 3 — just days after the Memphis star called his Lakers rival “old”
Grizzlies wing Dillon Brooks was ejected from Game 3 vs. the Lakers sent off after hitting LeBron James in the groin seconds in the third quarter.
James was hit below the belt by Brooks as he brought the ball onto the field, and immediately fell down in pain.
Referees assessed the foul and ultimately gave Brooks a flagrant foul of two, disqualifying him from the bout.
The incident comes after a controversial week between the pair, when Brooks stared James down after hitting a late three-pointer over him in Memphis’ Game 2 win, then called him “old.”
“You know, I poke bears,” he said after the game. “I don’t respect anyone until they come and give me 40.”

Brooks was jeered by the LA crowd during warmups on Saturday fans cheered when he missed shotsbut James refused to get involved in the drama before the game.
“I don’t want to talk about it this morning,” the Lakers’ No. 6 said Friday.
“Tomorrow will be a great game. I’m not here for the bulls***. I’m ready to play and that’s all.
However, James and Brooks were seen chatting pregamewith the Lakers star shaking his head and grinning menacingly at his rival.
The Lakers jumped out to a 26-point lead after the first quarter, as they led 35-9.
Brooks had seven points on 3-13 shooting before leaving the game.
