‘He wants to fight my leftovers and then shit’: Furious Dillian Whyte rips at Anthony Joshua – repeatedly labeling his bitter rival a ‘c***’ – as he nonsensely claims the former champ is a new-and-improved Jermaine Franklin on the weekend
- Joshua defeated Franklin with a dominant points win on Saturday night
- But Whyte says the American was an easier challenge after his own victory over him
- He has also accused Joshua of not wanting to hire him a second time next time
Dillian Whyte launched into a foul-mouthed rant against Anthony Joshua for his victory over Jermaine Franklin on Saturday night. He repeatedly called his heavyweight rival a “c***” and accused him of avoiding their proposed rematch.
Joshua recorded his first win in over two years at the weekend, sweeping Franklin in a shutout points win at the O2 Arena.
Looking to recover from back-to-back defeats at the hands of Oleksandr Usyk, who stripped him of his three world titles in the past 18 months, the former United champion began his slow climb back to the top of the division.
While his performance was hardly vintage, he admitted to Sportsmail that he wasn’t happy about it himself, returning to winning ways that AJ has now put up a potential mega fight against Whyte, Tyson Fury, Joe Joyce or Deontay Wilder.
He has beaten Whyte in the past, knocking out his old rival in a close match in December 2015, but with both men now needing springboard victories, a rematch is being touted as a possibility for the summer.

There has been talk of a rematch between Joshua and Whyte following the former’s win
Although before Joshua beat Franklin on Saturday, the Brixton heavyweight – who had a more controversial points win in his own clash with the American last year – claimed his fellow Briton doesn’t want to fight him in a fiery argument with iFL TV.
“These bastards don’t want to fight,” Whyte said after arriving at the O2. “These bastards all talk shit — every one of them.
Wilder, Joshua. Joshua’s ac***. Joshua’s ac***. Joshua’s ac***. He wants to fight my leftovers and then chat. “Oh, [Franklin has] lost so much weight. He looks better.” No, he isn’t.
“The hardest man to beat is someone who is an undefeated heavyweight. He’s already beaten. His mind is broken.
‘He’s in court with [his promoter] Dmitriy Salita, lawsuits and not fighting. He is [fought] a real victim [Saturday night].
‘They’re shit. They are shit. They are shit. They are shit. They just suck. They are k*t.’
Instead of returning to the ring for a tune-up fight against Franklin, Whyte feels that Joshua should have rekindled their rivalry over the weekend instead.

“They should have fought me,” he continued. ‘That’s a fact. People [didn’t] wants to see him fight Franklin. He should have fought me. You know? Why does he need a warm-up to fight me?’
Whyte was brutally knocked out in his first world title challenge against Fury last year before taking a highly controversial victory over Franklin in November.
And while he’s desperate to avenge his 2015 defeat, the 34-year-old insists he won’t waste time fighting Joshua again.
“Listen, I want to fight,” he added. “I’m not going to wait for Joshua. Joshua is unpredictable.’
