The twins’ mother said the eating formula will help you get back “on track” after Thanksgiving and you’ll see results by the new year
Kasis said she lost 15 pounds in two months by eating 90 grams of protein, 30 grams of fiber and 50 grams of healthy fats per day.
Kassis credits the basic formula with helping her lose a total of 18 pounds and drop two percent body fat, which is why she uses it on her clients.
She went from 128 pounds to 110 pounds and maintained her weight loss for a year by tracking her intake of protein, fiber and fat instead of calories.
The dietitian has also claimed that her 90-30-50 method has helped put Hashimoto’s disease – an autoimmune disease that can cause an underactive thyroid – into remission.
Kassis promised that if you followed the program this week, you would see results by Christmas.
In another video, she talked about how she studied to become a dietitian and teach people how to lose weight while struggling to do it herself.
“I took the whole ‘eat less, exercise more’ approach,” she recalled. ‘[I was] I was eating about 1,200 calories a day and training for hours, but I really couldn’t do it and felt really defeated.’
It wasn’t until she started prioritizing nutrition over calories that she saw results.
“The way protein has changed the game for me is so crazy,” she said. ‘Ninety grams of protein is the minimum amount needed for muscle growth and maintenance.’
The expert went from 128 pounds to 110 pounds and maintained her weight loss for a year. She recalled how she struggled to lose weight when she ate just 1,200 calories a day
“Today I eat a lot more than before, and I never feel hungry or restricted,” she said. ‘The best part is that I feel like myself again’
Kassis noted that protein also increases metabolism, promotes fullness, reduces cravings and improves energy, among other things.
“Without protein, our metabolism slows down and our blood sugar levels drop, leading to cravings,” she explained. ‘We are always tired. Hormones are out of balance. It increases our risk of developing chronic diseases.”
Kassis recalled how she only consumed about 30 grams of protein all day while restricting calories.
“No wonder I was tired, hungry and sluggish all day,” she said.
Now she makes sure she gets at least 90 grams of protein a day by eating lean meat, protein shakes, Greek yogurt and cottage cheese.
“Today I eat a lot more than before, and I never feel hungry or restricted,” she said. ‘The best thing is that I feel like myself again.’
