The attacker is hired from Atletico at Alaves and collapsed in pain during a friendly against Burgos.
Simeone, 20, was taken off when he ran down the right wing towards the end of the game and went down in the 86th minute.
Jose Matos was booked for Burgos, while the Alaves players rushed to Simeone when they saw he was in pain.
Medical personnel rushed onto the field as Simeone lay on his back in pain.

Simeone was rushed to hospital as players and fans applauded him and the ambulance from the pitch.
Spanish news center Soccer.spana have now reported that the striker will miss most of the season, with it further reported that he broke his ankle while Matos was left ‘crying’ after the challenge.
The game was abandoned with Burgos leading 2-1 when Simeone went off.
It comes as a huge blow to Alaves, with Simeone scoring their only goal of the match before getting injured.
