Diego Costa’s proposed move to Wolves is in doubt after his work permit application was reportedly rejected by the Home Office.
Reports suggest the Premier League side held concerns about whether Costa – who has been a free agent since January after leaving Atletico Mineiro – would be permitted to play in England.
Now it appears those fears have been realised, with The Athletic claiming the 33-year-old did not score enough points for his application to pass, but the Premier League club are currently appealing the decision.
