A man who allegedly filmed women using a disabled toilet at a Perth university has appeared in court for the first time.
Police allege that between August 2023 and February this year, Didier Loic Labonne, 28, used a stolen key to access the service area behind the toilet at Notre Dame University and used a mobile phone to record women who used the facility.
Mr Labonne appeared in the Fremantle Magistrates Court on Monday charged with three counts of unlawfully installing a surveillance device, three counts of trespassing and one count of theft as a servant.

He was charged in February by detectives from the Child Exploitation Operations Unit following the alleged discovery of a cell phone in the university’s restrooms.
“The suspect … was previously employed by an outside contractor that provided sanitation services to the university,” police said at the time.
He was not required to enter a plea to the charges and will appear in court again on April 29.
