Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie appeared to be in good spirits as she came out of hiding for the first time since the rap mogul’s shocking arrest.
Cassie, 38, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, stepped out in New York City on Thursday in stylish yoga pants, a sports top and sunglasses, flashing a big smile as she waved to fans.
It’s been nearly a year since Cassie settled a blistering lawsuit against Diddy in November, the day after she filed the case, in which she accused the money magnate of physically and sexually abusing her during their decade-long relationship.
In May, gruesome security camera footage leaked showing him beating her in a hotel hallway in 2016.
Her claims led to a wave of other accusations from Diddy’s alleged victims, eventually leading New York prosecutors to charge the discredited producer this week with human trafficking and racketeering, among other charges.

Cassie’s lawsuit has prompted at least nine others to file similar civil suits, which insiders say could wipe out Diddy’s $400 million fortune while also putting him in jail for a long time.
The Me & U singer was in an on-again, off-again relationship with Diddy, real name Sean Combs, for more than a decade until they split for good in 2018.
In 2019, she married fitness trainer Alex Fine and they now have two young daughters, Sunny and Frankie.
While she put on a cheerful display on Thursday as she made her first public appearance since Diddy’s arrest, Cassie remained noticeably quiet as the spotlight shone on her ex.
In a statement to DailyMail.com after the lawsuit was made public this week, Douglas Wigdor, an attorney for Cassie, said that “neither Ms. Ventura nor I have any comment.”

Months after Cassie filed a lawsuit against Diddy, accusing him of physical and sexual abuse, shocking footage from 2016 emerged of the rapper attacking her in an LA hotel
Cassie’s appearance on the streets of New York City comes three days after Diddy was arrested late one night by federal authorities at a Manhattan hotel.
On Tuesday, officials made public the charges against him, accusing the producer of extortion, sex trafficking and transportation for the purpose of prostitution.
He pleaded not guilty at a bail hearing, where his legal team failed to obtain his freedom by offering the court a $50 million bail package.
The package included offering his $48 million Miami home and his mother’s $2 million condo as collateral, but a judge rejected the offer, citing the serious crimes Diddy is accused of.
The allegations against Diddy revolve around so-called “freak off” sessions, where the rapper allegedly forced and drugged women into lengthy sex marathons.
Diddy was arrested about six months after federal authorities searched his homes in Los Angeles and Miami.
Prosecutors said during those raids, agents found more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant believed to have been used in his infamous “freak-offs.”
Authorities said they interviewed more than 50 witnesses and acquaintances. The raids seized a trove of laptops, mobile phones and hard drives, among other items.
The Public Prosecution Service also claims that they are in possession of footage that appears to show that Diddy forced and manipulated victims into performing indecent acts.
