Diddy slashes asking price for LA mansion which was raided in sex trafficking probe – as ’empty nester’ wants ‘out of Hollywood’

Diddy has put his Beverly Hills mansion, which was searched by Homeland Security in March in connection with a suspected sex trafficking investigation, up for sale at a reduced price.

The disgraced rapper, 54, who was seen in a security video brutally beating his ex Cassie in May 2016, bought the home in 2014 for $40 million and was reported in July to be selling it for $70 million.

DailyMail.com can confirm that the lavish home, which spans 12,000 square feet of living space and 500,000 square feet of land, is now on the market for $61 million.

Diddy’s neighbors include Kylie Jenner, Jimmy Iovine and Evan Spiegel. The neighborhood is known as “Billionaire’s Row.”

According to a source, Diddy — real name Sean Combs — had planned to sell the home before the federal raids. He said: ‘Diddy made his primary residence in Miami years ago and always planned to sell his LA home once his daughters were grown and out of the house.

“He’s an empty nester and spends most of his time in Florida. It has nothing to do with a civil lawsuit or investigation.”

A description reads: ‘A large paved driveway leads to the fully renovated estate, which features classic European design elements. The property features a luxurious, panelled entrance hall with a sweeping staircase bathed in natural light, along with a large living room, formal dining room, wine cellar, office and a gourmet kitchen with a family room and separate catering kitchen.

The home features a 35-seat theater, a two-story guest house, a gym, a basketball court and a “resort-style pool with a waterfall and grotto.”

The ad will appear on the real estate industry’s Multiple Listing Service on Monday.

In July, it was claimed that the star was trying to sell the house for $70 million off-market – TMZ reported.

Sources told the publication that Diddy ‘wants to get out of LA’ – and is spending most of his time in LA Miami.

Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles were shockingly searched by federal agents earlier this year as part of a sex trafficking investigation. He is also fighting lawsuits from other accusers alleging sexual misconduct and abuse.

Combs’ sons, Justin and Christian “King” Combs, were handcuffed during the raid on their father’s Los Angeles home.

Armed Department of Homeland Security agents entered luxury properties on the East and West Coasts of the United States, with helicopters circling overhead on video.

The officers, wearing vests, gathered in the backyard of the home, near the pool. Several officers were seen carrying bags and boxes of evidence to a van, aided by police dogs.

A spokesperson for Homeland Security Investigations told DailyMail.com in a statement: “Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York conducted law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami and our local law enforcement partners.”

“We will provide further information as it becomes available.”

DailyMail.com reached out to Diddy’s representatives for comment at the time.

In February, a music producer filed a lawsuit alleging that Combs forced him to approach prostitutes and pressured him to have sex with them.

Another of Combs’ accusers was a woman who claimed the rap producer raped her 20 years ago, when she was 17.

Combs and his attorneys deny all allegations in the lawsuits.

The rapper is one of the most influential hip-hop producers and executives of the past thirty years.

Formerly known as Puff Daddy, he built one of hip-hop’s largest empires and forged a path with several entities associated with his famous name.

He is the founder of Bad Boy Records and a three-time Grammy winner who has collaborated with a number of top artists including Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, Usher, Lil Kim, Faith Evans and 112.

In May, a video surfaced showing him brutally beating his ex Cassie Ventura.

The rapper apologized on Instagram, saying, “I hit rock bottom but I don’t make excuses. It’s so hard to look back on the darkest times of your life, sometimes you have to. I was fucked up.”

“I mean, I’ve hit rock bottom, but I’m not making excuses, my behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video, I’m disgusted by it.”

“I was disgusted when I did it, I’m disgusted now. I went to seek professional help, I went to therapy, I went to rehab,” he added.

“Had to ask God for his grace and mercy. I’m so sorry. But I’m determined to be a better person every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness, I’m truly sorry.”

Sources say Diddy checked into rehab after the 2016 incident and continues to seek therapy and spiritual work.

The video, obtained by CNNshows the rapper, shirtless and with a towel around his waist, as he chases Cassie through the hallway of the InterContinental Hotel in Century City.

When she wanted to get into the elevator, he grabbed her by the back of the head and threw her to the ground.

He kicked her as she lay motionless on the floor, before grabbing the two designer bags she had tried to escape with. Diddy stood over her, kicked her again, then dragged her back to their room by the hoodie.

Cassie alleged in a now-settled lawsuit that Diddy paid the same hotel $50,000 for the footage after the attack.

Meredith Firetog, Cassie’s attorney, said: “Combs’ most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he hurt.”

‘When Cassie and several other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested his victims were looking for money.’

“That he only felt compelled to offer his ‘apology’ when his repeated denials were proven untrue shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words.”

The apology came after the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said Diddy could not be prosecuted for the attack because the statute of limitations had expired.

The statute of limitations for simple assault in California is one year, while aggravated assault is three years. Based on the timeline, neither charge could be brought against Diddy.
