Dianne Buswell has revealed the real reason behind her tearful appearance on Strictly last Saturday night, sparking concern among her fans.
The professional dancer, 34, struggled to contain her emotions while holding back tears as she spoke to Claudia Winkleman after their routine last week.
She said during the conversation about Bobby, “He’s been a huge rock this week, so thank you,” before her voice broke as she leaned into his chest and hugged him.
And after a week of speculation, she has now finally addressed the moment, sadly revealing that her father Mark – who lives in Bunbury, Australia – is unwell.
In a Q&A on her YouTube channel, she said: “I thought I would be very honest and honest with all of you.

‘Last week I received news about my father’s health and I won’t go into detail, but it obviously affected me.
“Being away from home and not being able to support and help your family in a time of need is quite difficult, so I struggled with that a bit this past week.”
Although Dianne’s family had plans to go to Britain for Christmas and see her on Strictly, she said that wouldn’t happen now.
She said she plans to return home to Australia at the end of this year.
Dianne continued, “There is still a little way to go for my dad, but I 100% believe he will be fine and we will all get through this together.”
She then asked fans to give her father “a little thought or prayer,” which she would “very much appreciate.”
The emotional star continued, “My dad is the sweetest, kindest man you will ever meet and all he really wants is for me to keep going and keep dancing with my little heart and doing what I love because that makes him the best . definitely the most proud.
“Whether I go home with a glitter ball or not, I’m still going to go home and have a warm Christmas.”

Bobby also seemed a little upset after last Saturday’s performance, despite scoring a decent 30 out of 40 for the dance to David Bowie’s Fashion.
When asked how he felt, he said in the feedback chat with Claudia: ‘Just emotional. It’s been so emotional all week.”

The duo have built a close friendship since hitting the dance floor last month and at Sunday night’s Pride Of Britain Awards, Bobby admitted he is ‘very lucky’ to have the Australian beauty as his trainer on the show.
He told Mirror: ‘I could talk about Dianne all day. She’s just a diamond. You know, I’m falling in love with her. She’s just amazing. I feel very happy.’
In addition to Bobby talking about her expertise as a trainer, he also revealed a cheeky secret about their training. He admitted that he is known to be a slacker at work.
When asked if he is a ‘perfectionist’ during their ‘grueling’ workouts, he said: ‘Dianne would say no because I’ve taken as many breaks as I can, I’ve slept as much as I can. I call them necessary digestive periods.’
