When asked if she was the inspiration for 22, Agron said, “Me? Oh, if alone! That’s more because of a friendship than the inspiration for the song. But I wouldn’t be the person to ask that. I can’t say that!’

The 22 liner notes feature some of Swift’s other girlfriends, such as Selena Gomez, Ashley Avignone, and Claire Kislinger.

Both Swift and Agron were friends around the time of Red’s release in 2012, with both sharing photos from Shirley MacLaine’s 78th birthday party where they both dressed up in costume.

They also shared photos from Agron’s own circus-themed birthday party, which Swift said was “the most magical night.”

A few years later, Swift gave Agron a shout-out at the 2014 American Music Awards when she received the Dick Clark Award for Excellence.

However, Agron and Swift have not been seen together in recent years, although the actress did not comment further on her friendship with Swift.

She did talk about her breakthrough role as Quinn Fabray in the popular Fox musical series Glee.

The actress only had a few guest starring TV roles and small film roles to her credit when she landed the part on Glee.

“When I see images of myself from that period, I see my childhood and I see the heart and community and family we had with each other,” she said of her time on Glee.

It’s emotional, nostalgic, heartwarming and career-affirming. That experience opened so many doors and I’m so thankful that I learned everything,” she said.
