The 47-year-old German-born actress – mother to four-year-old daughter Nova – stayed warm as she wore a white hooded sweatshirt under her outer layer.
At one point she stopped to grab a slice of pizza, which she immediately enjoyed on the street.
Her shoulder-length blonde hair fell from her New York Yankees baseball cap and she carried a black leather bag.
The mother-of-one completed her casual and cozy look with a pair of distressed cream sneakers.

The night before, Kruger attended one of Madonna's shows during her Celebration tour.
She then took to Instagram to share outtakes from the performance with her 1.1 million followers.
She shared a selfie with friend Caroline Blank and also included a warm message of praise for Madonna.
“People can gossip and criticize all they want, but Madonna is a great artist,” she wrote.
Kruger added: “I am in awe of the show she put on last night, my eyes were in awe and she sounded amazing.
'What a beautiful evening, I felt inspired. Thank you @hm for inviting me to witness an icon at work.”
For the night out in the Big Apple, Diane looked sharp in a black mini dress topped with the same jacket she wore during her pizza run on Friday.

Kruger shares Nova with her fiancé, Norman Reedus, whom she met in 2015 while they were working on the dramatic feature film Sky.
Before she started dating The Walking Dead star, she was married to Guillaume Canet from 2001 to 2006.
