Diane Keaton rocks blazer, turtleneck and pants as she meets a friend for coffee in LA

Diane Keaton has been known for her unique sense of style when it comes to fashion since her film debut in 1970.

And on Wednesday, the Academy Award-winning actress showed off one of her more casual-cool ensembles as she stepped out for coffee with a friend near her home in Los Angeles’ Brentwood neighborhood.

Annie Hall’s leading lady was first spotted taking the short walk from her parked car to the entrance of the Brentwood Country Mart.

On this day, she opted for a black double-breasted blazer, whose fitted design gave the impression of being fitted at the waist, and a black turtleneck, which has been a staple of her wardrobe for years.

While she went for the classic solid black for her upper body, the Something’s Gotta Give star opted for blue pinstripe pants that helped accentuate her slim figure.

The 77-year-old Los Angeles native also wore a pair of black leather ankle boots and had her blonde locks styled long and flowing down her shoulders beneath her trendy fedora.

Enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, the pair appeared to have at least a few deep conversations during their time at the market.

Just a few weeks ago, in what was her most recent Instagram post, Keaton featured many of her favorite fashion brands in a photo she took with Olympia Gayot, creative director and head of design at J Crew.

In the photo, the screen legend sat atop a stack of books in a black pinstripe ensemble consisting of pants, a matching vest and a blazer.

On this occasion, she achieved a sleeker look by using a wide black belt that helped emphasize her feminine curves.

She also wore a black fedora that appeared to be the exact same hat she wore on her coffee date with her friend.

Keaton was perhaps one of the most popular and critically acclaimed actresses of the 1970s and 1980s.

She started her career on stage, but eventually made the transition to the silver screen in the romantic comedy Lovers and Other Strangers (1970).

Her big break came when she played Kay Adams-Corleone in the classic gangster film The Godfather (1972), and its sequels The Godfather Part II (1974) and The Godfather Part III (1990).

She also made waves with her roles in a number of Woody Allen films such as Play It Again, Sam (1972), Sleeper (1973) and Annie Hall (1977), for which she won an Oscar for Best Actress.

Some of her other popular films include Looking For Mr Goodbar (1977), Father Of The Bride (1991), Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993), Marvin’s Room (1996), First Wives Club (1996), Morning Glory (2010) and Book Club (2018).
