Diane Delano, the actress best known for her recurring role on the popular 1990s series Northern Exposure, has died at the age of 67.
The television actress died on Friday at her home in Los Angeles TMZ.
Her representative said she died of a short illness, but her official cause of death has not yet been released.
Delano was known for the recurring role of officer Barbara Semanski on the drama series Northern Exposure, which ran for six seasons on CBS from 1990 to 1995.
Her most notable film work was in the 2006 remake of the horror classic The Wicker Man, in which she played Sister Beech.
The Neil LaBute-directed remake, starring Nicolas Cage, was savaged by critics but has become a cult film for its over-the-top lead performance.
