Detroit Pistons general manager Troy Weaver got into a heated argument with a fan in the stands on Saturday night after being told he is ‘bad at his job’.

The Pistons are collectively the worst team in the NBA, losing their 53rd game of the season to the Dallas Mavericks – seemingly the tipping point for one fan.

The angry altercation was shared on social media and saw Weaver tell the man: “I don’t care… you’re lucky I don’t beat you.”

At the end of the TikTok clip, the unnamed fan can be heard claiming that general manager Weaver “threatened” him.

It is understood the man was removed from the arena by security after being spotted by Weaver, who was separated from the main crowd by a barrier.

He pointed the man to security, who then ejected him from the arena

Weaver declined to comment Sunday when asked by the Associated Press.

Jeffrey Calloway, a 46-year-old season ticket holder from Detroit, said he was sitting next to Weaver when the fan approached the team’s general manager twice before being led away.

“The guy involved in the incident, wearing the Red Wings gear, came up to us and pointed to the scoreboard earlier in the game,” Calloway said in a telephone interview Sunday.

“Troy Weaver just shrugged and said, ‘Okay,’ and the guy went back to his seat.

“When (Jalen) Duren got ejected (midway through the fourth quarter), the guy came back and told him he was terrible at his job. Then Troy Weaver told the fan to leave, and then the ushers or security came to him.”
