A Detroit Lions fan who went viral Thursday night for grating cheese at Ford Field has said his culinary items were confiscated by security.
The fan went viral in the first quarter of the game when he grated a block of cheese off his chair to mock the Packers, also known as the “Cheeseheads.”
The NFL posted a clip of the moment, which was viewed more than 800,000 times on X, while the Lions also shared it on their official account.
But the fan said later in the evening that both the cheese and grater had been taken by security, as he provided a photo of the items near his seat.
“@Lions tell them to bring it back to me lol,” he said wrote.
So did the fan, whose name is not on his X account shared a photo from a Doordash order for the cheese and grater as proof it was him.

On X he was asked to explain how he got the stuff into the stadium. He said it was “very, very easy.”
‘Block of cheese in transparent bag. Hand grater in my coat arm. I don’t like sweating, so I took off my jacket when I came in. Had put the grater in the arm. He asked me to shake my jacket and that was it,” he wrote.
Although he didn’t take home his cheese and grater, he was able to celebrate the Lions’ victory as the home team earned a 34-31 victory over their NFC North rivals.
The win lifted Detroit to a 12-1 record on the year and officially clinched them a spot in the playoffs.
Detroit will host the Bills next weekend in what should be another challenging test.
