The Detroit Pistons have now lost their 25 straight games following Thursday night's 119-111 loss to the Utah Jazz.

Detroit stayed within shouting distance most of the night to end the embarrassing streak within six points or less.

Utah only began to pull away on the scoreboard in the final three minutes of the game, when a well-timed run secured their victory.

Superstar guard Cade Cunningham led Detroit's final effort to a win after collecting 28 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds.

Cunningham played almost the entire match, logging 39 minutes as he tried to put an end to his team's losing ways.

Utah, on the other hand, was led by veteran big man Kelly Olynyk, who recorded 27 points, six assists and three rebounds.

Olynyk wasn't the only member of the Jazz to have a good performance, as a total of six different Utah players scored in double figures during the game.

Pistons fans expressed their frustration with the losing ways by chanting for ownership to sell the team.

Others wore paper bags over their faces with the words “sell the team” and “24 straight” in large, bold letters.

Detroit's record now falls to a dismal 2-26 and the team hasn't recorded a win since Oct. 28 against the Chicago Bulls in the third game of the season against the Pistons.

That win was preceded by a win the night before, when the Pistons had defeated the Charlotte Hornets to put together a two-game winning streak before beginning the potential history of a losing streak.

Detroit's next chance to end their losing streak comes Saturday night when they take on the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center.
