Desiigner charged with indecent exposure following flight in which he allegedly exposed himself
Rapper Desiigner was charged Monday with a federal count of indecent exposure on an airplane amid allegations that he masturbated in front of flight attendants on an international flight.
The 25-year-old musician faces a misdemeanor charge, punishable by up to 90 days in jail and $500 in fines related to allegations about his conduct on an April 17 Delta flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis.
The Panda performer, whose full name is Sidney Royel Selby III, initially exposed himself while in first class about 60 to 90 minutes after takeoff, according to a legal complaint reviewed by the AP.
The Brooklyn, New York, resident initially covered up after exposing himself, according to the complaint, but a few flight attendants saw him playing with himself and told him to stop, which he did.
At that point, the head flight attendant informed the musician that he would be taken into custody for his behavior.

Soon after, Desiigner was seen with his genitals exposed for a third time, after which he was taken to the back of the plane.
When he switched seats at one point, Desiigner dropped a container of lubricant — Vaseline — into the aisle, according to the complaint. TMZ reported.
A few people traveling with the rapper told flight officials they would follow him, according to the complaint.
Desiigner had told his own security guard that he was “sorry” that he had “messed up” and that he had “overheard” his behavior.
The musician told the flight crew that he regretted his actions at the end of the flight, after which he was detained by authorities.
Speaking to FBI authorities, Desiigner said he “didn’t get much fuss” during his trip to Japan and was “rock hard” after finding himself attracted to one of the flight attendants, which forced him to unmask himself .
He said he believed showing his “magic stick” to the flight attendant would give her the “encouragement” to engage with him further, the indictment read.
Desiigner said he was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the flight, the complaint read, and the FBI agent who spoke with him said he did not appear to be disturbed.
