Derek Chisora says boxers caught with drugs in their bodies should receive a 10-year suspension on the spot.
Chisora’s comments came shortly after Dillian Whyte returned “negative analytical findings” in a pre-fight drug test conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) before his rematch with Anthony Joshua.
Chisora - who is fighting Gerald Washington on the undercard of AJ’s rescheduled fight with Robert Helenius – joked “doing drugs in Ibiza is okay, but not in the boxing ring” before getting serious.
The 39-year-old said boxing is dangerous enough without athletes using illegal substances and claimed doping could be deadly.
“It’s a problem in sports. Boxing is hard enough as it is. It’s hard enough fighting someone’s kid if you don’t do drugs. Now imagine fighting with someone’s child while on drugs.

“I don’t do drugs when I’m boxing. If I’m honest, I do drugs when I’m in Ibiza. That’s fine. That’s calm.
“I think they should make a new rule now. This is for the control boxing board. It should now be a 10 year ban. Straight away.’
