It is said that the boxer, who boasts a professional record of 43 wins from 46 fights, was bailed out of jail at 6:34 a.m. for just over £28,000.
He was allegedly taken into custody on charges of possession of a concealed weapon and was reportedly “hidden and nice” during the arrest.
According to The Mirror, Wilder was booked at 3:13, meaning he was behind bars for just over three hours.
Since then, he reportedly has a May 23 court date in Los Angeles where he could face a felony charge and a fine of up to just over £8,000.
It is now unclear what the future holds for Wilder, both in terms of his career and personal life.
Wilder looked set to face Britain’s Anthony Joshua (right) later this year.
It looked like he would take on Anthony Joshua in December in an eternal heavyweight bout, but that could now be up in the air following the arrest.
The two camps have reportedly been negotiating a fight, but they may now have a major stumbling block.
Wilder lost to Tyson Fury twice in a recent fight as he lost his world title before coming back in October with a win against Robert Helenius.
It has been suggested that he could face Fury again in an attempt to regain his WBC title, but that seems unlikely.
