Denzel Washington fans are left stunned after seeing recent videos of his daughter Katia and her wife Colleen Wilson.
Katia, 37, and Colleen attended the Critics Choice Association’s 7th Annual Celebration of Black Film and Television in Los Angeles on December 9.
Denzel’s eldest daughter, who works as a film producer, looked very smart, wearing a dark khaki green blazer and matching trousers, which she teamed with a white shirt and skinny tie.
Former ballerina Colleen, who is said to be 6 feet tall, also dressed for the occasion and looked chic in a black off-the-shoulder midi dress, which she paired with nude heels and a gold clutch bag.
Katia grinned from ear to ear as she posed for the photo next to her wife, who towered over her.
When images of the couple on the blue carpet of Fairmont Century Plaza were shared on TikTok, people couldn’t help but notice the height difference.
“Is she really short or is her wife just really tall?” one person asked, while another commented: “How tall is she!!!!”
A third TikTok user thought: ‘I wonder how tall her wife is.’

When images of the couple were shared on TikTok, people couldn’t help but comment on their height difference
Another commented: ‘The height difference is crazy. As a tall girl, I love that she still wears her heels.”
Referring to many people who were shocked that Denzel, 69, had a daughter, someone else wrote: ‘You’re going to trip over it because it’s his daughter, I’m trying to figure out HOW TALL IS HER WIFE??! Gaaaaaadaamn!’
Another person jokingly said, “Ma’am, I want you to wear flats everywhere.”
Denzel and his 41-year-old wife Pauletta Pearson share four children together.
The couple said “I do” in June 1983 and welcomed their first child, son John David, almost a year later in July 1984.
Katia followed in November 1986, and in April 1991, Denzel and Pauletta welcomed twins Malcolm and Olivia.
Both Katia and Malcolm have somewhat followed in their famous father’s footsteps and both work in the film industry.
His directorial debut, The Piano Lesson, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024, and Denzel – who served as the film’s producer – was there to support him.

“I’m glad people get a chance to see what filmmaker Malcolm is,” he told PEOPLE on the red carpet.
Katia also produced the film, while John David appears in the film as Boy Willie.
Speaking about his descendants during an interview with Esquire in November, the Gladiator II star couldn’t help but talk about his kids.
“When I think about what I’m most proud of, I don’t even think about everything I’ve accomplished,” he said, adding, “They’re our kids: they’re good people. They know right and wrong. What more can you ask for, you know?’
