Russell Wilson will be riding with the Broncos for at least seven years after the nine-time Pro Bowler signed a mammoth five-year, $245million extension.

The new contract, of which $165m is guaranteed, was first reported by ESPN’s NFL insider, Adam Schefter

Wilson’s deal is the third most biggest in NFL history, from a guaranteed money perspective, behind Deshaun Watson and Kyler Murray’s contracts with Cleveland and Arizona respectively.

The former Wisconsin product, who was traded to Denver from Seattle this offseason, already had two years left on his contract before the AFC West came to the table with an enhanced, longer-term offer.

Wilson will receive an average salary of $49 million a year and keeps him in Denver through the 2028 season.

It’s just shy of Aaron Rodgers’ $50 million average on the four-year, $200 million deal the Packers QB signed to stay in Green Bay this year.
