Dennis Bergkamp has branded his newborn grandson ‘a Gooner for life’, despite his father being a Manchester United player.
Bergkamp’s daughter, Estelle, gave birth to a son last month and posed next to the former striker’s statue outside the Emirates with the baby in an Arsenal shirt with ‘Bergkamp 10’ on the back.
The Dutchman shared the performance on his Instagram account with the caption: ‘My grandson, a Gooner for life.’
Bergkamp is one of Arsenal’s greatest ever players. He played for the club between 1995 and 2006, making hundreds of appearances and being part of the Invincibles squad.
However, Estelle is the partner of Donny Van de Beek, who is still a contracted player of Manchester United.

Van de Beek came to United in 2020, but played few games and was loaned out to Everton and currently Frankfurt.
After marrying Estelle, the couple had a daughter in April 2022 and their second child was born in February.
His future undoubtedly lies outside Old Trafford, although it appeared he had little say in who will support his son.
Ian Wright was among those who commented on the post, sharing a number of red love hearts under Bergkamp’s Instagram post.
