Denise Van Outen, 50, reveals she’s never felt sexier since joining celebrity dating app Raya following her split from Jimmy Barba as she poses for a saucy shoot

Denise Van Outen has revealed she has never felt sexier since she turned 50 and signed up to celebrity dating app Raya.

The broadcaster lifted the lid on her love life following her split from property developer Jimmy Barba, 55, in November after 18 months together.

She told journalist Rob McGibbon for his website that despite the fact that ‘anyone who has ever read a newspaper knows about my love life’, she enjoys the freedom of being single.

Denise, who also had a very public split from cheating Eddie Boxshall, admitted that her ‘fingers had been burned a few times’ during previous relationships.

Saying, ‘The problem is me, I’ve always put everything into a relationship. I focus on the person I am, but I forget about myself. I’ve had a number of relationships where I couldn’t fully be myself.’

She continued: A lot of women will identify with that. But I think about it all differently now. I’m older and wiser and because I’ve burned my fingers a few times, I now know what I don’t want.’

The former Big Breakfast host stunned during the challenging shoot as she showed off her age-defying figure in a series of skimpy ensembles.

She even appeared to go naked, without anything, a fluffy white robe and a pearl necklace to maintain her modesty.

Denise then discussed signing up for celebrity dating app Raya, whose other former users are known to include Harry Styles, Cara Delevingne and Channing Tatum.

She said: ‘I always thought a dating app would never be for me, but I joined Raya a few months ago. It’s known as the dating app ‘the industry’ and is aimed at celebrities and people in the media.

‘I’m there as myself and it was fun. I’ve been going out to eat a lot lately and have met some really nice guys. Some didn’t want to be romantically involved, but I made a few friends so I’m enjoying it.

Denise went on to say, “I’m in a nice situation because I’m not in a rush to find someone so I don’t feel any pressure and it’s not like I don’t want to have a family so the guy doesn’t feel any pressure either.”

‘Turning 50 feels like a very exciting new chapter in my life. I actually feel like the sexist I’ve ever felt. I think as you get older you don’t worry so much about what people think, but you become more confident about who you are. And you know what you want’.

‘It feels liberating to be single as a 50-year-old woman, totally liberating. I allow myself to just go on dates and enjoy them for what they are. There was a time when I felt like I couldn’t actually do that. I don’t feel pressured to rush anything. When the time is right, I will be ready to announce “Mr. Right”.

Before adding, “Until that happens, I’m just going to sit back and go with the flow.” I’m not going to force anything. I feel like I can make the right choices now. This is the new me: single and ready for fun.”

After her divorce from Jimmy, Denise said The sun: ‘We have decided to part ways, but we remain good friends and our families and children are still in touch.’

After an amicable split, Denise and Jimmy still follow each other on social media and keep loved-up snaps on their profiles.

Denise found love again with Jimmy in July 2022 following her devastating divorce from Eddie.

She ended her relationship with the commodities trader in January 2022 after discovering disloyal messages.

Eddie left Denise’s house after their shock split and is now said to be staying with friends.

Six months later she went public with Jimmy, who she met through All Saints singer Shaznay Lewis, at the Grand Prix Ball and the pair enjoyed their first holiday together after flying to Marbella.

Following the announcement that Denise and Jimmy had split, Eddie uploaded a snippet of the song, Another One Bites the Dust by Queen, and wrote: ‘Next please…..’, allegedly an attack on Denise.

She shares a 14-year-old daughter with ex Lee Mead and previously dated Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay from 1998-2001.
