Denise Richards and Sami Sheen keep it casual as they enjoy a mother daughter lunch date in LA

Denise Richards was spotted in Calabasas earlier Friday afternoon with her daughter, Sami Sheen.

The TV personality, 51, and her daughter chose comfort for a quick bite to eat while spending some quality time together to kick off the weekend.

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills alum shares Sami, 18, and other daughter, Lola, 17, with her ex-husband and actor, Charlie Sheen. The star also has an adopted daughter, 11-year-old Eloise.

The Wild Things actress kept her look simplistic in the afternoon heat and donned classic jeans.

She paired the pants with a solid black tank top to stay cool in the California sun.

Denise had a black sweater tied around her waist in case she got a little cold. To finish off her overall ensemble for the day, the beauty slipped into a pair of orange and white sneakers.

The mother-daughter duo seemed to be in a good mood as they spent some time together after a rocky relationship early this year.

Denise was pictured with a Gucci tote bag over her right shoulder, which costs about $1,890 according to the luxury brand’s website.

Her blond hair fell straight over her shoulders and was covered with a printed camouflage cap.

Sami also chose to keep her look simple and casual for the outing, donning black sweatpants along with a printed black sweatshirt. The hoodie attached to the sweater was pulled up to cover her hair.

In addition to wearing a simple pair of black and white sneakers, the star had a glittering Prada purse over her shoulder that can be bought for $2,500.

To spice up her look, Sami put on sunglasses and carried a water bottle in her hand to stay hydrated.

In 2020, issues reportedly started to develop between Denise and Sami. A year later, in September 2021, her daughter revealed in a since-deleted TikTok video that she had officially moved out of her mother’s “hell house” and into the home of her father, Charlie Sheen, Malibu.

At the time, a source close to the reality star said that Us Weeklythat Denise was more than ‘sad’ by Sami’s decision.

“Charlie was not in favor of implementing Denise’s rules. He has a different way of upbringing and Sami decided to live with her father,” the insider said.

“Denise, like any other divorce parent, has to deal with a rebellious teenage daughter. It will be better for Sami if Denise and Charlie have co-parented her during this time. They are not.’

Earlier this year, in February, Denise opened up about her “tense” relationship with Sami on the Jeff Lewis Has Trouble podcast.

‘Of course I would really like her to come live with me. She has lived with me all these years. But I think it’s very difficult to raise teenagers now and especially in Los Angeles. If there is access to everything,” she explained during the interview.

“Honestly, I have a tense relationship with her. And it is very difficult. I know we’ll get back to where we were eventually, but right now it’s tense,” the Starship Troopers added.

“There are certain rules and I enforce them. There are other rules in that house and that’s okay,” Denise said, referring to her ex, Charlie’s, house.

However, since February of this year, it seems that their mother-daughter relationship has gotten better.

In May, Sami shared a heartfelt tribute to Denise in honor of Mother’s Day. A month later, in June, the TV personality and actress sided with her daughter to support her decision to have an Only Fans account.

She wrote on Instagram: “I have to say, I wish I had the confidence that my 18-year-old daughter has. And I can’t judge her choices either.’

Denise explained that she’d also posed for publications such as Playboy when she was younger, closing her statement by typing, “those who are judgmental… it sounds like you might already be subscribing to an @onlyfans account.” Nice weekend.’

Charlie had come out with a statement and initially expressed: Us Weekly that Sami was living with Denise again, and that: ‘This didn’t happen under my roof.’

The former fashion model continued to defend her daughter and also told the publication“Sami is 18 and this decision was not based on whose house she lives in. All I can do as a parent is guide her and trust her judgment, but she makes her own choices.”

Denise has had primary physical custody of both Sami and her daughter Lola since 2010. In 2018, the star married Aaron Phypers, who legally adopted her daughter Eloise.
