Stay clean: Last year, the slim star told DailyMail.com that one of the ways to maintain a flat stomach during the holiday season is to skip “sugar substitutes.” That means saying no to diet soda and processed sweets that claim to contain no sugar
In December, the ’80s workout guru shared three workout routines that are perfect for the home Prevention.
The movements focus strength training with hand weights. She called it “three easy fat-burning moves” to help you keep moving and get your heart rate up at any age.
‘If you’re looking for ways to burn fat fast, try these three fat-burning moves! she said.
“They’ll get your heart rate up, they’re easy to incorporate into any routine, and the best part [you] don’t need any equipment or a lot of space to do them!! You got this!’

This came just as the blonde shared a new image of herself in a yellow crop top making the most of her tiny waist.
Simple plan: “I have some tips that can help reduce that feeling and keep your bloated belly at bay. Some are as simple as eating more slowly and avoiding sugar substitutes,” she said
I have some tips that can help ease that feeling and keep your bloated belly at bay. Some are as simple as eating more slowly and avoiding sugar substitutes,” she said.
The star went into more detail on her blog web.deniseaustin.com. She said women over 50 should try different foods. Foods high in fiber are a must, she noted.
“Our 50s is when staying regular can become a challenge, so start incorporating other high-fiber foods in addition to high-fiber whole grains, such as beans and legumes, broccoli, berries, and avocados,” she wrote on her blog.
She also recommends anti-inflammatory foods. “Help minimize inflammation by adding turmeric, salmon, olive oil and even dark chocolate… these foods can also help promote heart health and a healthy weight when eaten in moderation!”
And her last tip is to consume plant-based proteins. “To keep your heart healthy, at this point in your life you may want to start replacing animal protein, such as red meat, with plant-based protein.” Consider a meat-free chili pepper, lentils in your salads, or fajitas with tofu instead of steak.’
As for food, she told DailyMail.com that she watches what she eats but keeps it delicious. And her portions are just right for shedding the pounds.
Still a hottie: Austin looked youthful in the tiny orange bikini top paired with tiny panties while wearing a white jacket while wearing her hair down
“I eat smaller portions,” Denise told DailyMail.com. “I might have salmon and vegetables for dinner. A snack is linseed with yoghurt. I like avocados and eggs for breakfast.
‘I cook very healthy for my family. There’s lots of salads, chicken tacos, vegetable lasagnas, reduced-cheese casseroles.”
But she’s not always careful: “I eat well 80 percent of the time and I’m bad the other 20 percent.”
She’s referring to the popular 80/20 diet method that allows for cheat days. Some things she likes to cheat with: carbs and sugar.
And she also talked about sports.
The exercise proponent’s answer to fighting the bulge is to take baby steps.
Still a stunner: And her final tip is to consume plant-based proteins. “To keep your heart healthy, at this point in your life you may want to start replacing animal protein, such as red meat, with plant-based protein.” Consider a meat-free chilli, lentils in your salads, or fajitas with tofu instead of steak’; seen in the 80’s
“I’ve been doing this for 40 years and I’m not a fitness freak,” she immediately clarifies during the interview. “But I’m consistent.”
That means exercising in some form every day.
“If you can work out for 10 minutes at a time and do that three times a day, you’ve worked out for 30 minutes in one day,” the star noted.
And she added that it’s important to keep moving throughout the day: “It’s about blood flow and movement. I even get up and walk in place when I’m watching TV, just to keep it flowing.”
Sounds like smart math, and an easy way to learn sports.
“The consistency pays off,” added the affable pin-up who is very active on Instagram.
