Democrats want to censure Marjorie Taylor Greene for showing Hunter nudes during committee hearing

Marjorie Taylor Greene brushes off a freshman Democrat’s resolution to censure the controversial Republican for holding up posters of Hunter Biden’s nudes during an Oversight hearing last week.

Rep. Greene, R-Ga., suggested that Rep. Becca Balint, D-Vt., must have “really bad” fundraising numbers to pull off the censure stunt.

Balint filed the resolution Tuesday in response to Greene showing censored footage of the president’s 52-year-old son engaging in sexual acts with suspected paid escorts. The House Oversight hearing where the footage was shown featured testimony from two whistleblowers who claimed that Hunter Biden received preferential treatment in the tax fraud case against him.

This only adds to the laundry list of about 40 complaints against the Georgia legislature.

In addition to Hunter’s footage, Balint’s resolution also refers to Greene visiting inmates at Washington prison incarcerated for their involvement in the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, as well as progressive members of Congress, some of whom are Muslim, who are part of the “Jihad Squad.”

Balint also objects to Greene comparing COVID-19 vaccinations to Nazis forcing Jewish people to wear a star on their arm during the Holocaust.

“Gosh, fundraising must be really, really bad,” Greene said in response to the resolution.

The law was introduced as a privileged resolution, meaning Balint has motion in the future to enforce ground action on the measure.

“For me, censoring Rep. Taylor Greene on the health of our democracy and our faith in government. Her anti-Semitic, racist, transphobic rhetoric has no place in the House of Representatives,” Balint said in a statement on the resolution.

“I ran for Congress after seeing on January 6 that anti-democratic messages and scaremongering have real consequences for our democracy. Unserious elected officials like Taylor Greene mock our democratic institutions and make us neglect the urgent work that has been assigned to us,” she continued.

“This job is about alleviating suffering and supporting our communities, and instead Taylor Greene is using her position as a megaphone for conspiracy theories and hate speech. There must be a counterforce coming from within Congress. It starts with members of principle standing up and saying we’ve had enough.”

Greene shared explicit footage of Hunter Biden with prostitutes during the Oversight Committee hearing last Wednesday, warning those watching at home that “parental discretion is advised.”

The shocking moment went live on C-SPAN and other cable channels broadcasting the hearing, including Fox News.

“Should we show this?” Democratic ranking member Jaime Raskin was questioned at one point during crosstalk with other members of the panel.

The images from Hunter’s laptop hard drive were printed on poster board that Rep. Greene during the hearing that showed President Joe Biden’s son engaging in sexual acts with prostitutes.

The reason for showing the footage, other than to shock viewers, was that Greene asked the IRS investigator to testify about Hunter having written off taxes for expenses related to escorts, prostitutes, and sex clubs.

She also presented evidence that the president’s son paid for tickets for the escort to get out of Los Angeles to meet him in Washington, DC, in June 2018.

“If he bought her a plane ticket for sex and traveled across state lines, do you think that’s an offense? [of law]?’ Greene questioned the two IRS whistleblowers on Wednesday.

She added that the “west coast assistant” listed on Hunter Biden’s tax return was likely this person he allegedly flew out of Los Angeles for prostitution purposes.

“That’s not what paralegals do,” Greene said to the laughter of those attending the hearing in the room.
