Democrat strategist turns on her clueless colleagues with ‘hard truth’ message – ‘We are not the party of common sense’
A prominent Democratic strategist was filmed invading her own party after Donald Trump’s emphatic election victory on Wednesday.
CNN contributor Julie Roginsky criticized audience members and her own colleagues during the segment, chiding them for pointing fingers instead of actually thinking.
The argument was triggered after another on-air contributor asked Roginsky, 51, if Biden should have dropped out of the race sooner — as if that was the cause of Trump’s big win.
Using a series of what she called “hard truths,” Roginsky explained why she believes the Democratic Party has become increasingly out of touch.
Similar criticism was leveled in the aftermath of the 2016 election, where many cast Trump as a credible threat — leading to an unceremonious upset of Hillary Clinton.

CNN contributor Julie Roginsky criticized audience members and her own colleagues during Thursday’s tirade, chiding them for pointing fingers instead of actually thinking about the results
The tirade came after another on-air contributor asked Roginsky (center) if Biden should have dropped out of the race sooner — as if that had been the cause of Trump’s victory
“I’m going to say some hard truths to my friends in the Democratic Party,” the Russian-born Roginsky began, before emphasizing, “This is not Joe Biden’s fault.
“It’s not Kamala Harris’ fault,” she continued. ‘It’s not Barack Obama’s fault. It is the Democratic Party’s fault for not knowing how to communicate effectively with voters.
“We are not the party of common sense,” she further stated – adding: “[this] is the message the voters have sent us.
“For a number of reasons, we don’t know how to talk to voters,” proclaimed the veteran strategist who has also worked at CNBC.
“When we appeal to Latinos… Latino voters, like Latinx for example — because that’s the politically correct thing to do — it makes them think that we don’t even live on the same planet,” she argued.
The expert added that in this era of political correctness, progressives are afraid to tell students that such measures are “unacceptable” against students who “pollute” campuses, but “we are so concerned about alienating one or another cohort in our coalition.’
‘[Just] because you don’t like some policy… you take over a university and you destroy it and prevent other students from learning,” she alleged.
“That’s unacceptable.”
The former CNBC employee further stated that Democrats have lost touch, more focused on issues like political correctness than more pressing matters.
‘NNormal people look at it and say, ‘Wait a minute,'” she continued. ‘I send my kids to college so they can learn, not so they can burn down buildings and trash fields, right? And so on, and so on.’
She then delved into the formalities surrounding pronouns and how Americans now sign and say them ‘after the name’ [things like] she/her” – while hurling vitriol at those who don’t follow the rules.
‘[This comes] instead of saying, you know what, if I call you by the wrong pronoun, call me out,” Roginsky noted.
‘Stop virtue signaling and speak to people as if they were normal.
“There’s nothing I’m going to say to Shermichael [Singleton] that I’m not going to say it to you, or to anyone else.
“I speak the same language to everyone – but that’s not what the Democrats do,” she continued.
“We’re constantly trying to parse different ways of speaking because our focus groups or polls show that so-and-so appeals to so-and-so – that’s not how normal people think.
“Joe Biden is not responsible for that, and neither is Kamala Harris,” she ultimately concluded, before apparently referring to the political climate in which Trump was elected in 2016. “That’s a problem that Democrats have been dealing with for years.”
‘It is not common sense and we must become the party of common sense again.
“Joe Biden is not responsible for that, and neither is Kamala Harris,” she concluded. ‘That is a problem that Democrats have been dealing with for years.
“I hit the drum here, I don’t know how, probably ten years later.
‘We have to become the party of common sense again, where people look at us and say we understand you.
“Until we do that, we need to stop blaming other people for our own mistakes.”
Meanwhile, clips of the impromptu undressing continue to circulate and have been viewed nearly a million times.
The latest claim from the strategist — who has also offered insight as a contributor to Fox News — seemed to hint at the complacency that some say led Trump to win the first time.
“Until we do that, we need to stop blaming other people for our own mistakes,” she added, as her no-nonsense undressing continues to go viral
Kamala Harris gave a concession speech late Wednesday — after calling off what many thought would be a victory party the night before
This year, however, his victory was even clearer: he won seven of the seven swing states, some of which turned blue at the time.
Trump is now expected to make a decision on his Cabinet as he re-enters the White House in a few weeks.
As for Harris, she gave a concession speech late Wednesday — after calling off what many probably thought would be a victory party the night before.
